I am extremely grateful for the support my Mom received through psychotherapy and counselling service at 101 Psychotherapy & Counselling Vaughan. Her therapist was attentive, empathetic, and genuinely invested in helping her work through the experienced challenges. Each session provided practical tools and new perspectives that helped her to improve her emotional well-being and confidence. The office was welcoming, scheduling was convenient, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for professional and effective mental health support.

I was pretty nervous about starting therapy, but Tatiana Dvorkina made it feel like just grabbing coffee with a very wise friend. She’s helped me to understand my problem and given useful techniques to manage my daily anxiety. The clinic is professional but still feels cozy and safe. Do recommend!

Your Mental Health Is Our Priority

Registered Psychotherapists Based in Concord

Concord is not a bedroom community, and that shapes a great deal of what we hear in the room. Between Keele Street and Highway 400 lie some of Vaughan’s largest employment lands: warehouses, workshops, transport yards and trade counters that run on shifts, deadlines and early starts. Just north of them the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre has drawn thousands of new residents in under a decade. Around all of that sit the settled residential pockets, Glen Shields and Dufferin Hills to the southeast, Concord West near Highway 7, and Carrville further north.
That mix produces its own set of pressures. Rotating shifts pull sleep apart. Long hauls and piecework leave little room to notice that a short fuse has quietly become a permanent one. People who have recently moved in near the subway are often building a life from scratch, sometimes in a second language, sometimes a long way from family. We work with all of it using structured, evidence-based approaches, most often CBT and EFT, and we say honestly that this takes time rather than selling a quick fix. Our office is at Dufferin and Steeles on the Glen Shields corner, so for most people in Concord an in-person session means a fifteen-minute drive at most, not a trip out of the community.

The Psychotherapists You Would Be Working With in Concord

Care here comes from an experienced and multilingual team rather than a rotating roster of names. We match each Concord client to the clinician whose training, language and way of working suits what they have come in for, and that includes our Russian-speaking psychotherapists. Have a look at who you might meet below.

Coming Into the Concord Office

Waitlists here are short, and a first appointment is usually easy to slot into your week. The office is at Dufferin and Steeles with free parking directly on site, so you are not circling the block or feeding a meter before a session. The rooms inside are quiet and private. You will also see the same psychotherapist every time you come, which matters more than it sounds: nobody is going to make you summarise three months of your life again from the top. From most of Concord the drive is about fifteen minutes, and no route involves a toll.

Online Therapy in Concord and Across Ontario

Some weeks the drive is the thing that stops people, even a short one. Secure video appointments are open to anyone in Concord and anywhere else in the province. You get the clinician you would have sat with at the office, for the fee you would have paid at the office. If you are on nights, covering a rotating shift at one of the Keele Street or Jane Street operations, or working out of a condo near the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre with nothing between meetings, video can be the difference between starting therapy and putting it off for another month. What you need is a private space and a reliable connection. Nothing about the confidentiality changes. Plenty of clients move between the two formats depending on how the week has gone.

How to Reach Our Clinic From Concord

Our clinic is at 1520 Steeles Ave W, Unit 101A, Vaughan, ON L4K 3B9, on the northwest corner of Dufferin Street and Steeles Avenue West, inside Concord’s southeast corner.
  • By car (fastest): About 15 minutes (6.9 km) from the centre of Concord, along Highway 7 and then south on Keele Street.
  • By car (alternative): About 17 minutes (8.3 km) straight down Steeles Avenue West. Neither route touches Highway 407, so there is no toll to pay whichever way you come.
  • By transit: About 33 minutes on York Region Transit, for example routes 107 and 60, picking up around Keele Street and Highway 7. Routes and schedules do change, so check your trip before you set out.
  • By bike: About 23 minutes (6.9 km), following Highway 7 and Keele Street.

Counselling and Therapy Services for Concord Clients

People come to us from across Concord with very different starting points: a worry that will not switch off, a mood that has flattened out, a relationship stuck in the same argument, or nights spent watching the ceiling before an early start. Below are some of the main areas our Registered Psychotherapists work in, in person at the Dufferin and Steeles office or by video anywhere in Ontario.

Anger Management Therapy

If the fuse has got shorter across a run of long shifts, proven anger management techniques help you catch the build-up earlier and choose what happens next.

Anxiety Therapy in Concord

Cognitive behavioural therapy gives you a concrete way to test the thoughts that keep worry running, so anxiety takes up less room in your day.

Depression Therapy

When motivation has drained away, behavioural activation and CBT help you rebuild momentum in small, achievable steps instead of waiting to feel like it first.

Panic Disorder

We work through what is actually happening in your body during an attack, using exposure-based methods so panic loses both its intensity and its power to frighten you.

Insomnia

CBT for insomnia (CBT-I) is the recommended first-line treatment for chronic sleep problems, and it is particularly useful when rotating or night shifts have pulled your sleep out of shape.

OCD

Exposure and response prevention (ERP) is the best-supported therapy for OCD, worked through at a pace you set, to loosen the hold of intrusive thoughts and the rituals that follow them.

Parent-Child Therapy

We bring Concord parents and their children into the same room to work on the patterns that keep flaring up, so conversations at home stop ending the same way.

Couples Therapy in Concord

Drawing on emotion-focused therapy (EFT), we help couples in Concord get underneath a repeating argument to what is really driving it.

ADHD

For adults and teens with ADHD, we build practical systems for focus, planning and follow-through, alongside work on the frustration and self-criticism that so often come with it.

Frequently Asked Questions: Therapy for Concord

Yes. Our office is at 1520 Steeles Avenue West, on the northwest corner of Dufferin and Steeles, which puts it inside Concord’s southeast corner beside Glen Shields. From the centre of the community it is roughly a fifteen-minute drive, with free parking on site. If getting in is difficult in a given week, you can meet the same clinician by secure video instead.
Sessions start at $100, and the initial assessment costs nothing, so you can find out what we would actually do before you spend anything. Whether you can claim the rest back depends entirely on your own benefits plan. The thing worth checking with your provider is whether it covers services delivered by a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), because not every plan does.
Our psychotherapist on the team appears on the public register kept by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), which regulates the profession here. No referral is needed, from a doctor or anyone else. You can book yourself in and start with the free assessment.
Fees in Ontario are set by each practice rather than by a regulator, and they vary a good deal by profession, experience and location. Ours begin at $100 with the first assessment free. If you are comparing, it is worth asking each practice directly what a session costs and whether the first conversation is charged.
Yes, and it is among the more common reasons people book with us. We work with couples on communication, on conflict that keeps circling back to the same place, and on trust and disconnection. You can come in together to the Dufferin and Steeles office, or meet by video if your schedules make a shared appointment time hard to find.
You can, and you can switch between them. Some Concord clients come into the office every time, because leaving the house is part of what makes the hour feel separate from the rest of the week. Others book video sessions through a stretch of night shifts and come back in person afterwards. It is the same psychotherapist, the same fee and the same length of session either way.
