Your Mental Health Is Our Priority

Registered Psychotherapists Serving Toronto & the GTA

Toronto is a city of distinct neighbourhoods and just as many reasons to reach out for support: the pressure of a Bay Street or tech career, the cost-of-living squeeze, a relationship under strain, a new baby, sleep that will not come, or anxiety that has slowly tightened its grip. Wherever you are, from the downtown core and Liberty Village to North York, the Annex, Leslieville and the Beaches, you can work with a registered psychotherapist who listens first and shapes the work around your situation.

Because our clinic sits on Steeles Avenue West at Dufferin, right where Toronto meets Vaughan, north Toronto and North York clients are often just a short drive away for in-person sessions, while those further downtown or in the east end frequently choose secure video appointments. Either way the care is identical: structured, evidence-based methods such as CBT and EFT, delivered with warmth and without judgement. We are honest that change takes time, and we focus on building practical skills and lasting insight at a pace that suits your life.

How to Get to Our Clinic from Toronto

Our clinic is at 1520 Steeles Ave W, Unit 101A, Vaughan, ON L4K 3B9, on the northwest corner of Dufferin Street and Steeles Avenue West, directly on the Toronto and Vaughan boundary.

  • By car: About 40 minutes (about 18.5 km) from the downtown core, heading north on the William R. Allen Road. This route is toll-free.
  • By car (alternative): About 41 minutes (about 38 km) via the Don Valley Parkway and Highway 401, also toll-free. Highway 407 runs across the top of the city, but it is a toll road and is rarely faster from downtown.
  • By transit: About 49 to 55 minutes on the TTC, typically Line 1 to the north end of the city and a connecting bus such as the 105, depending on where you start.
  • By bike: About 1 hour 17 minutes (about 20.5 km), largely north along Dufferin Street.

Counselling & Therapy Services for Toronto Clients

Toronto life brings its own mix of pressures, and the concerns that lead people to therapy are wide-ranging. Below are the areas our Registered Psychotherapists focus on, each supported by evidence-based methods, available in person in Vaughan or online anywhere in Ontario.

Anger Management Therapy

Using proven techniques, you will learn to catch anger earlier and choose a calmer response, at home, at work or anywhere Toronto’s pace gets to you.

Anxiety

When worry, racing thoughts or panic take up too much space, cognitive behavioural therapy gives you concrete tools to calm the system and feel more in control.

Depression

When low mood, fatigue or loss of interest set in, we work with you step by step to restore momentum and reconnect with what matters to you.

Panic Disorder

Panic attacks can feel frightening and unpredictable, so we help you understand what drives them and build skills that make them less intense and less frequent.

Insomnia

Drawing on cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), we target the habits and thoughts that keep you awake, without relying on medication.

OCD

For obsessive thoughts and compulsions, approaches such as exposure and response prevention help you respond differently and take back your time.

Parent-Child Therapy

We work alongside parents and children together to ease conflict, rebuild connection and put steady, workable routines in place at home.

Couples Therapy

Whether the issue is recurring arguments, growing distance or a breach of trust, emotion-focused couples therapy helps partners understand each other and reconnect.

ADHD

For adults and teens living with ADHD, we focus on practical systems for attention, organisation and follow-through that hold up in real daily life.

Frequently Asked Questions: Therapy for Toronto

Our physical clinic is in Vaughan, on Steeles Avenue West at Dufferin, right on the Toronto border and about a 40-minute drive from the downtown core. We support Toronto clients in two ways: in person at the Vaughan office, and through secure online therapy anywhere in Ontario.

Sessions start at $100, and your first assessment is free. Coverage varies by plan, so it is worth checking whether yours includes a Registered Psychotherapist (RP).

Yes. Our team includes psychotherapists registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and you do not need a referral. You can book directly and start with a free initial assessment.

Yes. Several of our clinicians are women, and when you book you can let us know if you would feel more comfortable with a female therapist; we will match you accordingly wherever possible, in person or online.

Yes. Virtual counselling is available right across Toronto and all of Ontario, with the same registered psychotherapists and the same fees as in-person sessions, simply over private video. Many downtown and east-end clients prefer it, and you can move between online and in-person whenever it suits you.

Ask about a therapist’s experience with your specific concern, and notice whether you feel heard in the first conversation. Our free initial assessment is built for exactly that: a no-pressure chance to ask questions and decide whether we are the right fit before you commit.

Some publicly funded and community programs offer free or reduced-cost support, although waitlists can be long. We are a private practice, so we keep pricing transparent with a free first assessment and sessions starting at $100; if you are looking for affordable therapy in Toronto, ask us about planning and session frequency.
